Why another wine blog?

I enjoy reading wine blogs and have been tempted for a while. Then I read something on Brooklynguy's blog that made me decide to give it a shot. He said that writing about wine helped him increase his enjoyment (something like that). This struck a chord in me and I decided to go ahead and write yet another wine blog. If someone else enjoys what I write, so much the better.

The title of this blog is an homage to one of the happiest bottles I've had over the last year. A 2005 Catherine & Pierre Breton Nuits d'Ivresse opened in 2008 that just sang. It was all there. Fruit, earth, and that alive quality that makes some wines feel so vibrant. It wasn't the best bottle I've had by any stretch, but I love this wine and what it aspires to do. It made me very happy.
